Tarlac Province wins Second at the Regional Pop Quiz!
Lorenzo E. Reyes has made a remarkable record for Tarlac Province history for entering the top 3 of Regional Population Quiz Contest for 10 years in a row.
It took 20 questions of intense drama at the Angeles Elementary School in Angeles City, Pampanga to determine this year's Regional Population Quiz Champion from amongst 20 of the region's best young quizzers.
Reyes, a Grade 10 Special Science Class (SSC) student of Tarlac National High School, the oldest public high school in the Philippines, scored a historic ten consecutive placement succeeding his schoolmates Frances Nicole Muldong (2016), Jude Alfred P. Sevilla (2015), Mary Ann C. Sevilla (2014), Janela Marie T. Dayrit (2013), Maria Cristina T. Bala (2012), Melvin I. Bondoc (2011), Jose Mari G. Agustin (2010), Imee Rose B. Estrada (2009) and Roosevelt T. Tabag Jr (2008).
The winners became wildly successful in their chosen career. Roosevelt T. Tabag, Jr. who started the winning steak of Tarlac National High School in the Division Population Quiz Contest and placed 3rd in the regional level, ranks 5th in the 2013 Top 10 Chemists Licensure Examination with a rating of 90.50. The back-to-back national winners Imee Rose B. Estrada and Jose Mari G. Agustin are now very successful as well. Estrada is an instructor in the University of the Philippines while Agustin is a Civil Engineer. Another national winner, Janela Mari T. Dayrit graduated Valedictorian of her class in 2013. The rest of the winners are still studying and doing very well in school.
Lorenzo's schoolmate Judiel G. Pilo, a Grade 11 student, wins fifth in the Jingle Writing and Singing Contest.
Congratulations to all the winners!
